Cool grays have dominated design palettes for the last five years, but 2017 ushers in a new trend of neutrals that combine cool and warm hues to create a more complex palette.  Here in the Level Studio we have been calling this new neutral “Greige”, combining the words gray and beige, just like the color mixes these two hues (Greige includes warm neutrals like taupe, beige, khaki, and light browns alongside cooler grays).  The warmer tones create a much more inviting feeling; it’s a soothing and sophisticated take on this classic palette.  Last year, we included “Greige” as one of our “Color Inspirations” in our Mural Resource Book.

Here is a sampling of some of our Level Designs using “Greige” colors:

L31138 Central Park – Greige

L50402 Blueprint – Parchment

L51404 Astronomy – Nebula

L60501 Canopy – Greige

L60301 Circuitboard – Greige
