Built in 1897, the Milwaukee Road Depot and Freight House was Minneapolis’ main railroad station, and the end of the line for the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad Company. With the decline of rail traffic the facility was transformed into a full-service hotel, treating visitors to the history and unique architecture of a 19th-century train station.

Now known as “The Depot”, a recent renovation to the guest suites features a sleek, modern design with high-end fixtures and luxurious furniture.

For the walls of the suites, our design team created a custom pattern by combining two existing Level Designs: a photograph by Doug Hebenthal and a brocade, and then customized the colors to suit the room’s palette.
